A4art China, in London

We are currently immersed in organsing the A4art China exhibition in London (so, that’s work from China exhibited in London), which follows on from the exhibition in Chongqing in December last year. The exhibition opens on the 29th of January with a private view in the evening, and ends on Sunday 1st February.

While in our Chongqing exhibition we exhibited 80 pieces in a warehouse, the Tank Loft Contemporary Art Space, our exhibition space in London, the Sense Loft, is considerably smaller. Our first step was to select the most intriguing pieces for display, eventually settling for 57 pieces, out of over 700.

Tank Loft
The Tank Loft exhibition space: huge and airy, and kind of mouldy. I think “urban” is the word.

Sense Loft
The Sense Loft exhibition space: nice and light, and rather more intimate.

So the two exhibitions are going to look really different which is very exciting for me (Joe Orton) personally because I was there at the Chongqing exhibition.
